I would love nothing more than to bake bread with somebody. Gently poke their nose with flour, watch them intently as they knead dough. We can cuddle on the couch while we wait for it to bake, then sit entangled with eachother as we listen to the crust crunch and feed eachother bits with soft cheese and grapes. How radiant, how soft. Feeling so safe with one another as we bask in the simple things.

       Time seemed to stop as the words painted crimson wrote themselves upon the airs of the void. Everything was still, still for just a heartbeat as the Actor’s eyes read over those accursed words. The only calm before the storm was the single hitched breath of a man so bolded in his hubris. That was the only calm.

       Something in those words made the Actor snap. With a slam of his cane a thunderclap so loud it made the guardian’s ears ring echoed forth across the void. Cracks like ice snapped from the impact and zig-zagged glowing red across the pitch black floor. 

       “DO NOT-” The Executioner threw a pointed finger towards the words like a damning note, “DO NOT BRING CELINE INTO THIS. DO NOT MENTION HER NAME.”

      The air of the void roiled in rage, crimson near tangible in swirls of anger around the man. It was an unbelievable fury that shattered his cocky façade, leaving the mask of a composed man in the dirt.

      “YOU! YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO MENTION HER! This is not about her anymore and YET YOU DARE BRING HER INTO THIS! How COULD you, HOW-”

       “YOU!”

       A bellow from behind the three figures in the void seemed to shake the walls around them all. They all whipped in that direction to see a figure silhouetted against a black and white swirl of a portal, clutching a sword in her hands. Mem and Mori, previously trembling relaxed tenfold at the sight. The Actor could not get a good look at the new arrival before they jetted forwards. 

      In an instant the Executioner had a sword-tip against his neck and the fury of the universe staring him in the eyes.
