I've made so many vent posts about the "hikari-uke-ification" of Malik in fandom spaces. I honestly hate that for him. It makes no sense to me, considering his character in the manga.
Yami Malik is supposed to be the "top" by "default" because he's the darker half or something, so fandom collectively decided that to compensate, 'normal/dominant half' Malik must be the 'bottom' type. To me, Malik fought him every step of the way and eventually did defeat him.
A main facet of Malik's entire story is about the struggle of control. He'd have to trust a person a whole hell of a lot to willingly give up his control to them. If he's the top, then all of the control is his. It's that simple.

Never in my life did I ever expect Katsuki to call himself "Kacchan." Like, hearing Nobuhiko yell "CALL ME KACCHAN!" at live events in Katsuki's voice is one thing--but having it be series canon thing is amazing.
To me, it feels very explicit in emphasizing that he wants to connect himself to Deku. He wants AFO to know that he's tied to Izuku and OFA. He wants to be Izuku's protector, hero, and partner (whether in a fighting sense or in a romantic one is up for interpretation). It's especially obvious since in just the previous chapter, he does a direct reference to Deku by saying "I'm here to step in when that nerd can't handle things by himself!"
Twitter discourse is a goddamn mess. People are trying to claim that he was thinking of Kaminari when he called himself "Kacchan" because they refuse to acknowledge that Katsuki's relationship with Izuku is different than his relationship with other characters. It's really not that hard to understand.
I'm just so happy that, finally, the bkdk antis can shut up about how Katsuki apparently "always HATED" Deku calling him "Kacchan." Apparently, he "told Izuku" that he hated it and Deku just never "respected his boundaries." On what planet had he ever said that? I have no goddamn clue. They're confusing fanfiction with canon.

the wolverine (2024) is such a weird read because it says wolverine has gone all solo post krakoa and nightcrawler had to go look for him so he becomes the defacto leader of the xmen... but uncanny xmen which is supposed to be the canon status quo about the situation post krakoa has wolverine as a full on team player on rogue's xmen with her as the leader and nightcrawler is the one who isn't 100% on the team... like he's busy being a priest again all chill about it when every mutant is apparently too discriminated against to even consider having a job with humans
Does sound weird but I dont go into comics looking for consistency. I look for the best moments to make canon in my brain. Like a magpie collecting shinkes
