Octavia’s definitely shaken up by what she’s just witnessed. Really whenever Steve would go on about other realms and upside downs, she figured it was outlandish babble meant to impress...or just further alienate. But then when some lovecraftian looking...thing crash landed in the center of starcourt, she soon realized they had bigger problems than the Russians (and that was a whole ordeal already.) 

“We can do that later but right now we’re driving! Please stay on the road!” The brunette hollers from the back seat. All her nerves are telling her to freak out and yell as well but their mission right now is to get to Dustin’s radio.

Octavia knew the plan. Together they would run as hard and as fast as they could. The other tributes would fight over weapons and resources, buying time in order to put enough distance between themselves and the cornucopia. After that, she and Bellamy would focus on survival and let everyone else thin out the numbers. 

She knew the plan, but suddenly she wasn’t so sure. How long could they last without proper supplies? “Bell!” The younger woman mouthed, eyes darting between her brother and the silver structure only yards away. They might never have a chance like this again, and Octavia would risk facing death if it meant her family would live. 

The world around them became silent as the clock ticked down. The noise of the wind rustling through the trees and the birds chirping were deaf to her ears. In the calm before the storm, Octavia took one last deep breath, bent her knees, and made her decision. The last gong rang  and out of the corner of her eye, she saw Bellamy charging toward her as she in turn made a beeline for the cornucopia.

“Bel is that you?” There’s a glisten in Octavia’s eyes, almost as if she could start crying at any moment. But as she draws closer to him, her brows turn down in an angry arch and she reaches for her sword on her hip.
