paddy’s “you see, i keep waking up and finding myself alive, no matter how hard i try.” and eoin’s “i was spun off [the metaphorical carousel], that was not my choosing.” …something something opposing outlooks on life and death. paddy’s long running concept of ‘loving someone makes you a coward because you won’t risk your life’ making a comeback because even though eoin DID risk his life willingly, he didn’t intend to die nor want to. he had people he loved enough to want to stick around for, and paddy was one of them. but it comes around to paddy once again insisting that “no, you got off to stick around in the desert” because he needs to justify the way he feels SOMEHOW.
