the entire kingdom of auradon was likely to know that the eldest child of snow white and prince florian was engaged by now, especially considering the impending marriage was between two royals. even the king of auradon himself hadn’t managed that, julian thought to himself, a slightly smug smile playing on his lips. still, both he and his fiance had been against the rules that the castle coming ball seemed to specifically exclude any child of a villain who wasn’t fortunate enough to have a date. ( why would ben bother to notice when all he cared about was mal, anyway ?? ) to show their support for the relatively new residents, they had each agreed to invite someone originally from the isle.
for julian’s particular choice, he invited vitani, the daughter of zira. he wasn’t entirely familiar with her, but he’d met her at the gym and felt compelled to ask her. now, waiting patiently at the entrance of the ball, julian waved once he caught sight of her. “ a stunning ensemble, ” he told her with a polite smile. “ i’m glad you decided to attend, vitani. ”
