hey i know i've posted this before but listen to what i’m saying to you. i know a lot of people on here struggle with depression and other things, and there are times you think you’re worthless and unimportant. like you’re just sitting on your bed or in your chair thinking you’re going nowhere in life and that you can’t do anything, but you can. ( i've been there, trust me ; it fucking sucks ). the fact that you’re even alive is amazing, when you really think about it. you have all these strings of DNA in you that make you who you are, and you have all these cells working together, and all these organs that are working simultaneously, and you have a mind. you have your own thought process, your own personality— you’re the only person who can be you. if you really think about it that’s something special, and your mind is an amazing thing— you’re an amazing person— and you deserve everything and more.
So I, personally, think that Brian's background is rather.. childish.. in a way. Like maybe I could have written in better & had more depth. Could be because I'm just kind of insecure about him, but like, the thing involving his parents, it just doesn't seem logical that someone would randomly choose to target them & turn them. I actually do have a little slight change in Brian's background, nothing major, it's just something his story is telling me, & something I want to write in. I'll update his biography soon, & when I do I'll post a link, but I can give a little run down here :
If you know Brian's back story, when he was fifteen his parents were turned ( into vampires ), & after their bloodlust got the best of them & they turned violent towards him ( a common gesture from his father, not at all much from his mother ), they ditched & left him alone. Now, after awhile, he took bus after bus until he went from New York to Virginia, & that's when he ran into Nina as he was passing through the woods to another city ( Mystic Falls ). Nina's motive wasn't to just 'recruit' his parents into her little group run by a hybrid, her plan was to capture them, really -- which she failed to do. Because Nina has been alive for centuries, & the only reason she's alive is because she seeks vengeance. Vengeance for what ? For what Brian's ancestors did. Dating back over five hundred & thirty years ago, they did the unmoral thing of turning Nina's parents into vampires, leaving them with an eternity & their child with a timed lifespan. That, in her mind, was the cruelest punishment. Perhaps it was the love she felt for her parents & the heartache she knew they felt with the notion of them outliving their daughter forever that drove her to become a vampire herself & make Brian's family pay generation after generation. She turned his parents. She turned them because she wanted them to feel the same pain that Brian's ancestors ( on his father's side ) had caused her own parents. Because after her parents were turned, they ditched, & she knew Brian's parents would do the same ; that was the crushing reality. Nina's parents had the pain of a parent outliving their mortal child & they were so fearful of that, they left ; & that's the entire reason she brought this upon him.
But she does have a soft spot for him. She's ruined him in many ways in the past ; been with his father romantically, played Brian like a harp. But there's something about Brian, something that's different ; & if she dies by anyone's hands, it will be his.
assuming the lack of followers is from me not posting a lot or doing
my drafts really or whatever, again, i'm sorry. i've really been trying
to finish drafts & things, but even after being on antibiotics for
however many days, i'm still sick. i don't know if it's something new
or something new paired with the same thing, but i just-- i'm really
sick. i'm not feeling well today, either, & as much as i want to go
out & do things, this thing i'm sick with is keeping me in. i can't
even go to the doctor with my mom. there's a lot of shit going
on with me ; with my family, mentally, physically -- i'm just not
100% right now even if i'm trying my best to be. i'm really sorry
for things.

just a little PSA-- your character can kill brian as long as it's nothing permanent. permanent things are burning him alive and ripping his heart out; or taking his daylight ring off in sunlight which will ultimately make him burst into flames. snapping his neck or poisoning him-- shit like that, that's okay; because he'll come back in a matter of minutes ( maybe sooner or longer-- it varies ). you can also break his bones or stab him with things, it doesn't even matter. he will heal, but still-- it won't be pleasant.
this is basically just another reminder that your mind is fucking amazing like the fact you can remember things and come up with ideas and say clever things and even stay stupid things the fact you can even talk the fact you can see things and understand them and interpret them and write out things and turn it into something beautiful i mean really let's be real your mind is fucking amazing don't let anyone tell u otherwise homeskillet
if you really think about it you're actually really talented-- every roleplayer is. the fact that you can come up with ideas and write them out and develop this character ( or characters ) in your mind and you can set up a blog and you can maintain them and you can make new ones and some people have the same faceclaim, but the fact that the creator of the character ( as well as other people ) can point out how certain pictures look like this certain character and other pictures of the same faceclaim look like this other character is amazing imaginations are amazing never feel bad about yourself or your roleplaying own that shit your mind is amazing
