he’s still not happy with nari sleeping on the floor, but she’d made it clear he wasn’t going to get her to relocate to an actual bed or even the couch, so ash had accepted it and stayed up in the hallway most of the night near her to make sure she would be okay. he might have drifted off a few times, but not for long. insomnia and the hardwood floor of his hallway weren’t a good combination for getting a good night’s rest.
the sun had started to rise, and he from the floor with it. he didn’t keep much stocked in his fridge, but he’d snuck the groceries he ordered to be delivered in and over her sleeping form quietly enough that he didn’t think he’d woken her.
the sun’s higher in the sky, soaking the floor of his living room through his window and the apartment smells of eggs and pancakes and bacon by the time he takes the peaking around the edge of the hallway every few minute to check if she’d woken up. he’s not sure how late she’ll sleep until, but he hopes she’ll wake soon so she won’t have to eat it re-heated.
