Lore drop for Anais, exploring what happens when you use escapism as a coping method. Anais becomes Patience after she has recurring nightmares about becoming "the girl in the mirror" after the death of her mother.

TW UNREALITY

Patience is an entity that is trapped inside of a mirror (although they were also trapped in a lake a long time ago). If they are in your mirror, your reflection will become distorted in subtle ways. They will offer you advice, compliments, and promises to grant wishes (in your voice), but its a ploy to get you to touch your reflection so they can take your place.

If they take your place, they're stuck in your form, and they don't get it right. To banish them, you have to get them to touch the mirror again.

The transformation into Patience was slow. Anais continued to have nightmares to the point she would stop sleeping, and then when she did sleep, it came true because her dreams have a higher chance of becoming true at that point.

"Why does everyone always wish to win the lottery? If I could wish for anything, I think I'd wish for more time in the day to read my books and explore the forest."
