Somehow, it was still far too difficult to believe - all things considered, that alone should have been questionable enough. A serial killer on the loose, people she'd known for years, dropping like flies. And still, the news report about Atticus and Stella was too much for her to swallow. How it led her here - the foyer of the police station, she had no clue at all. A brief pause in her panic, as the officer at the desk said she'd call Ben down; if only to further bite back the fact that he was the first person she thought to find. "Both of them?" It's all she can really manage as he appears. Atticus and Stella. Two more people she trusted - loved, gone. Just like that.
