❝ you’re an idiot. ❞ he gives a dismissive roll of his eyes, lips pressed together firmly as he lets out a SIGH. he doesn’t mean to be so RUDE to the other ; unfortunately, it’s just his nature. he’s naturally rude to single person he’s grown fond of. perhaps he should attempt at being kinder, but he can’t actually bring himself to do so. ❝ th’ guy was gettin’ way too close t’ you and you were just letting him do it. plus he kind of smelled like horse shit. ❞
‘ basically, all you have to do is fake being in a relationship with me for like what — two, three days ? no big deal, it’ll be over before you know it. ’
❝ ──── i don’t think… ❞ leo hesitates for a moment, voice audibly faltering as his eyes focus on the other for once. there’s a moment in which everything goes quiet, the impending words that threaten to leave soft pink lips are slowly being processed. there’s a point in which leo’s not sure whether this is the right thing or not; his thoughts fluctuate between finishing the sentence or saying never mind. but he settles on what is believed to be the better option — for the both of them, that is. ❝ …we’re going to work out. ❞
‘ you’re doing it again. ’ words come off as blunt, an eyebrow raised as he tilts his head back to look up to the sky for a moment. ‘ you’re doing that thing where you space out and stare. ’ subconsciously, his fingers fiddle with the sleeves of his jacket. it’s a habit he’s picked up for whenever leo’s admittedly bored.
‘ you're staring again. ’ and it might just be because there's blood on his hands, and no, it's not his own ( it's never his own ). he's trying to play it off as something casual, something the other should be used to, but he's pretty sure the situation at hand looks pretty terrible. and hey, for the most part, it is !
‘ we haven't really been able to talk to each other recently, huh ? ’ leo wants to say that it's mostly because of their schedules. leo goes to work, jeremy comes home. jeremy goes to work, leo stays home. pressing his lips together, he moves his hand closer to jeremy's, keeping his eyes trained on the wall. he doesn't say the question he's dying to ask: we're not growing apart, are we?
‘ hey, jeremy, let's spend the night in, just you and me. we could, like, watch a movie or something. ’ he inwardly cringes at the thought, no doubt jeremy would suggest something else. lanky fingers fiddle silently, green eyes focusing on the other with lips curling into the smallest frown. ‘ or we could do somethin' else. i mean, if you want, really. ’
‘ okay, you know what, you should get out of the kitchen because you are going to eat all the damn dough and i won't have any left. ’ cue the little whining and bumping of hips. leo's been cooking more often ( still not too sure if that's good or bad ), and he's been improving, significantly. so, maybe he wants to make cookies. and maybe jeremy's being a little distracting ( he's always distracting ).
