Jackson needed his family together now more than ever. Noah was not an exception. Despite the rocky relationship his youngest brother had with their father, Jack tried his best to keep an eye on the family’s black sheep. Noah had a good heart even if he was reckless.
He didn’t know how his brother felt being back in the city, but he did know how much his kids missed him when Noah wasn’t around. Mila especially.
“Uncle Noah promised me ice cream,” she said, a tone she could only inherit from her mother. “He didn’t promise you ice cream, daddy.” His daughter, clearly annoyed by his presence, held onto his hand tightly as they walked down the street toward the parlor.
“Am I the third wheel on this date?” Jack asked, looking down at Mila with an eyebrow raised as they arrived at the ice cream shop. Noah had beaten them there. Jack stood in the doorway for a moment, so his daughter could run up and greet her uncle as she pleased.
No disruptions.
