Daphne Dee did not feel confident as she approached the blonde faerie outside of the modiste that afternoon.
She had just met with her mother for tea, and after some harsh words about faerie propriety were reinforced for her, they had parted ways with Daphne being given one specific mission - determine the source of the prior evening’s troubles and pass along their name.
That she had run into a faerie as she was making her way back to her townhome was simply pure luck. However, of the fae in Sevastyan Petit’s court... Daphne would be lying if she didn’t say she would have preferred almost any other to have been the one she stumbled across.
There was just something about the tall blonde one that was off-putting to Daphne and she couldn’t quite put a finger on why.
She didn’t let that thought linger in her mind for too long before she began to speak, however, greeting the girl with a bright smile.
“Silverbell, was it?” she dipped into a quick curtsey of introduction. “Daphne Dee, daughter of the Fairy Godmother. Pleased to make your acquaintance. My mother is distressed to hear the news from Lady Chattermore about last night. I was wondering if I might ask for your assistance on a matter of great importance to her.”
