@holylace ⌿ sol & prince
it was only two hours into his six hour shift that sol struck GOLD. and by gold he meant the bouquet to end all bouquets because it was so incredibly lovely and pretty that sol had to STOP and wonder how he could create something so beautiful. it was wonderful knowing the effort he put into capturing rays of sunshine for the flowers in the shop were showing such great results. sol had been taught the art of making bouquets when he had first gotten hired and he had yet to ever truly become bored of it — taking something already so dainty as flowers and combining them into something so GORGEOUS as the art form of bouquets. perhaps it was rather selfish of him to set aside this particular one , but as he fixed the symmetry of the arrangement , the purple of the orchids and the pure white of the freesia IMMEDIATELY brought prince to mind. a grin was quick to filter across his expression at the thought , fully knowing there was no one better to receive such a pretty arrangement. it would feel insincere to make another until the bouquet was sitting PROUDLY on the countertop in prince’s kitchen or even on the table. sol could envision it already !!
naturally , the rest of his shift passed by rather slowly and sol had to fight the URGE to spritz the flowers with some water with every slow half hour. but nevertheless he persisted !! once the clock struck the next hour , symbolizing the end of his shift , sol grabbed the arrangement , hugging the vase of flowers to his chest and meandering the best he could to prince’s place. the thought of seeing airi brought an extra PEP to his step and despite his vision being obstructed by the flowers , he made his way to the door and knocked. he heard it open and assumed it to be prince as he stood on his tip toes to see past the petals , but only seeing bits of prince’s face. ❝ i know i’m NOT scheduled today , but i was making arrangements at work today and this one kinda happened and it made me think of you !! my boss loved it , so i had to be sure to hide it away until the end of my shift and make sure it was the only one of its kind until you got it. ❞ sol GUSHED , practically bouncing in his spot from excitement and offering the vase to prince. ❝ the orchids are the MAIN feature , but there’s also calla lilies , anemones , freesia , and green amaranths !! ❞ sol listed off with a growing smile. ❝ purple orchids represent respect while the anemones signify protection against evil or ill wishes. so … yeah !! i ADMIRE you loads ‘cause you’re pretty awesome , and together with the anemones we’ll keep airi safe from all the creepy crawlies out in the city !! ❞ he doesn’t realize how fast he’s speaking until he draws in a breath from his rambling. sol blushes , expression softening as the pink BLOOMS across the apples of his cheeks. ❝ i really do hope you like it. ❞
