Kori likes to call everyone by their full name. She just really enjoys the sounds of names, the importance all those syllables have.

Tamaranean Royalty Honorifics
The royal honorifics are used as prefixes to a royal’s name, and they are assigned based on the dominant trait of the royal’s gender and the position of the royal. (See my post of Tamaranean genders here.)
Kings/Queens who are nanji dominant are referred to as kquiik.
Kings/Queens who are treght dominant are referred to as x’hal’u. (In English, this would translate as “Queen Mother” or “King Father”, rather than just “King” or “Queen”, as X’hal is considered treght dominant.)
Kings/Queens who are krik-ri are referred to as rikkt.
Princes/Princesses who are nanji dominant are referred to as agrii.
Princes/Princesses who are treght dominant are referred to as huali.
Princes/Princesses who are krik-ri are referred to as briegt.
Tamaraneans greet each other with a kiss, the same way that humans greet each other with a handshake. This is because of the Tamaraneans’ natural biological talent of language assimilation, and a kiss as a greeting is a symbol of a desire to speak a mutual language for clear communication and goodwill between both parties.
Tamaranean Gender
Aggressive Protector-Leader (Nanji-Gandre): A person who actively seeks out threats to nullify them; focusing on threats to large groups of people and/or nations
Patient Protector-Leader (Treght-Gandre): A person who waits for threats to appear before nullifying them; focusing on threats to large groups of people and/or nations
Aggressive Protector-Supporter (Nanji-Yndre): A person who actively seeks out threats to nullify them; focusing on threats that are too complex or difficult for one person to deal with alone
Passive Protector-Supporter (Treght-Yndre): A person who waits for threats to appear before nullifying them; focusing on threats that are too complex or difficult for one person to deal with alone
Aggressive Protector-Independent (Nanji-Bufre): A person who actively seeks out threats to nullify them; focusing on threats to small groups the person is directly connected to
Passive Protector-Independent (Treght-Bufre): A person who waits for threats to appear before nullifying them; focusing on threats to small groups the person is directly connected to
Null (Krik-ri): A person who is either too young to have expressed their gender, is in the process of experiencing their gender evolving, or does not identify with any particular gender
i need to do a proper post on tamaranean sexuality but basically the gist is that sex is in no way connected to romance and its something to share with those you care about
The thing about Kori is that she’s so emotive that she can be overwhelming for other people. Whether you are her friend or her lover, Kori will adore you with her entire being, and that can be intimidating to people who don’t know how to accept and return that kind of love and appreciation. One of the tragedies of Koriand’r is that her heart is constantly being broken, because it is so difficult for people to love her as completely as she loves them.
And even after that, even after someone has shattered her heart, she continues to love them.
i've been debating for a while whether or not cooper actually commands the endurance mission or if it's amelia; for a while i was on edge about it but i'm pretty sure he is the pilot-commander and not just the pilot/engineer. in-ship it doesn't matter so much, because they're a team, but on paper, cooper has the most experience if nothing else. amelia's probably the lead scientist and exactly as important as cooper is, he just has a more 'in charge' title.
