Lovey Dovey

Shohei swallows hard.  A month or so ago, he would have had his doubts.  Shuichi sneaking off to be with someone else, that would seed doubt.  He isn’t the first choice.  Or, he wasn’t.

He’s been back at the base a few days, resting a lot and slowly being nursed back to health by the kids, and Shuichi was never far from him.  He’s finally well enough to leave the infirmary, and instead of going back to his own little concrete room, Shuichi invited him up to his room.  They undressed quietly and climbed into the bed.  They made idle chat, about the kids, about how how they both were feeling.

In all honestly, what Shuichi said to him was rather sudden.  But it made him happy to hear.  He smiles, moving a bit closer.  He rests his hand on Shuichi’s waist.

“You...You are my only choice..” He murmurs, resting their foreheads together.
