{Event: Proper Introductions} [Fenris and Roshanak]
The masquerade had been going on for a little while already. Fenris had done a little bit of mingling, but not as much as he had spent time outside of the gossip circles with his arms crossed and trying to exude a ‘don’t approach me’ aura. He’d at least played nice for the first little bit. Shaking some hands and acknowledging that yes, he was the Fenris from Varric’s book. Even with a mask, it was tattooed obviously all over his exposed arms and neck.
This party, however, was the only chance he thought he might have at actually having a word with the Inquisitor. She was a busy woman, an important woman. Fenris might have been a guest of honor, but he had no trouble going to the advisers rather than the Inquisitor herself. But even so, he wanted to meet her. To decide his own opinion of her rather than form one off the gossip and rumor that trickled around Skyhold (and the rest of Thedas, for that matter).
He had noticed her--it was difficult not to spot the Qunari woman--enjoying a brief moment of peace away from all the nobles and dignitaries that had been invited. He didn’t approach right away, wanting to give her that moment. But after he felt he’d waited long enough, he worked his way across the room to stand in front of her.
“Good evening,” he started in nearly flawless qunlat; his tevene accent brushed the edges of his words. He hoped he wasn’t making a mistake. Not all Qunari actually spoke the language. “My name is Fenris. I arrived a while ago, but I have not had the chance to introduce myself yet.” He bowed his head in respect to her.
