          You wanna talk about aliens, though? Okay, let me present you with something; some aliens really like to talk shit about other aliens. I mean, on a grand scale-- like, where did anyone get the idea that Martians were tiny, nasty, green sons of bitches when clearly, they're not? I'll tell you where; the rumor mill. And the rumor mill usually starts at home. Luckily, a couple of people have found a way to make bank off these alien-shading rumors in the greater parts of the universe. Say one species of alien isn't feeling all alright with another species of alien and they want to start a little trouble and instead of starting a war, they want to spread some hurtful slander around the Milky Way. What they do is they go and find someone like the infamous (no, I mean that when I say it) Kelly Kapoor to generate some nasty talk about their nemesis and get the aforementioned rumor mill really buzzing. She's the best, and the meanest, at what she does. You don't even want to hear some of the things she's made up about the Doctor in her day.

               Kelly Kapoor is a part-time morgue worker, part-time crime blogger living in London. While she doesn't like to talk about her day job all that much (seeing as it's more depressing than a puppy's funeral), she's absolutely crazy about her little hobby. She's an avid follower of the blog recounting the cases of one Sherlock Holmes and has propelled the consulting detective to somewhat of a celebrity status by her own means; she maintains something of a fansite that caters to the followers of Holmes' cases, (unlawfully) using the information she gains whilst working in the morgue about said cases to keep the content of her blog continually fresh for her growing number of readers-- even if the actual content itself is phrased in something of a frivolous, tabloid-esque manner.

Sirens echoed through the city, sounds amplified amongst piles of fallen brick and leveled homes. Artemis pressed his back against the interior of the shelter, eyes fluttering shut as the sound of mothers with children at hand came trotting through, a loud boom rocking the earth below them.

He breathed slowly and carefully, feeling each steady beat of warfare rumble through Britian, the Germans scorching their presense deep into his memory like embers to flesh.

The world was vacant, ground barren and air thick with caustic fumes. Everywhere, people felt their bodies crumble apart; internal functions began to deteriorate, and even the simple task of breathing became near impossible for the common man.

However, the rich could survive, so long as there were the poor and the ill to harvest organs from--life from. But the rich couldn't do this by themselves, and Artemis couldn't get this precious job without the rich. Fair trade.
