Hi there! Thoughts on Emmys? And what do you think gots chances would've been like if we say Michelle fairley was nominated
Hi!
Hmm well, I think it would have been believable and she would have been a serious contender among the other serious contenders-nominees for the award. I don’t think she would have won though. Like I said before, the GOT nominations pretty much tried to bring young viewers to the award show, but it’s nice when popularity matches talent, like in Diana Rigg’s case. GOT is a popular show, with a large viewership, that brings viewers excited to see their favourites at the award show, and surely a lot of press. So, nominating actors and the show in general brings that attention, but for most of the nominations, including acting, there was no talent or merit, but just character popularity and trying to secure some good ratings. Fairley's nomination wouldn’t have brought the award for the show, but it would have been a serious and believable nomination. I think Rigg had more chances to win than Fairley (if she had been nominated).
It's hard to answer this question when I haven't watched all the other performances nominated, especially the one of the actress who actually won. Do I think Fairley had enough talent and a great performance to compete? Yes, I do. Do I think she could have won? I don't know. I think her performance would have gone neck to neck with Christine Baranski's (The Good Wife), and it was easily above Morena Baccarin's (Homeland). But I don't think it could have upstaged Maggie Smith's. About Christina Hendricks' and Anna Gunn's, I can't say much or compare the situation, because I don't watch Breaking Bad, and I haven't regularly watched Mad Men in a long time.
I can't say much else, sorry. Thanks!
(very late reply. sorry)

that made me laugh! lol (sorry I mean no disrespect, it's just that's a good comparison)

agreed!

I think I can see where they are coming from, but I disagree.
thanks!
ASOS Spoilers: Lady Stoneheart
catsnark said: from what I’ve read; many people things LS devianates so much from Cat and “does things she would never do” and kind of her resurrection sort of cheappens her character I think?
Really? Oh wow, I disagree. I think of her as a second side of Catelyn. Not a real continuance of her, but a different side of her. Idk, personally I think that after all she's been through, and what was done to her family and her, there was no other way to react to it. I get why she becomes LS. I understand, especially when she's no longer herself. She's surely is different, but either way, I wouldn't think that cheapens her death.
thanks! :)
ASOS Spoilers: Lady Stoneheart
Hi anon.
Same! That was THE jaw-dropping moment from that book for me (that and Lysa flying)!. Such an amazing way of closing the book. Just when you think nothing else can happen, that the story is coming to an end, BOOM!
I do like LS. I guess she's really different, and I don't necessarily consider her as a continuance of Catelyn, so I don't like her as much as I like Cat. But I do like her, although her "task" has deviated.
Cheapens her death? How?! I've never read anything of the sort. Submit some links, or maybe send another anon explaining what they say/what you mean.
Thanks!
catellyn replied to your photoset: this is bringing the stoneheart in me
this made me cry it was like catelyn stark was reaching out and hugging me. it was beautiful ♥ bless u
Me too. I shed a couple of tears after I uploaded it. But then decided to add the "this is bringing the stoneheart in me", cause REVENGE, and cause I don't speak (well I totally speak), but I REMEMBER! ;)
