Ok so. School has been kind of rough for me this semester and I don’t have nearly as much free time as I’d like, so I’ve been struggling to draw the stuff for tumblr that I really enjoy. However! Messages like these always make a stressed day better and I can’t thank everyone enough for taking the time to tell me such nice things ;w;

Even if my dumb distracted brain can’t focus long enough to remember to respond to asks, please know that I read them and that they mean so much to me! I couldn’t be more blessed for having such kind friends and mutuals, and I’m so sorry I never responded to these messages earlier! This is incredible and you guys are incredible and just. So nice I can’t even fathom

Everyone who had stuff say about the animatics? Ur my actual lifeblood,,, animatics take soooo long to make and it makes me unreasonably happy that people love them as much as I enjoy making them ;w; thank you for encouraging me!!

For everyone saying that my art encouraged me to get them back into a fandom or fall in love with a character etc, that is like,,, the highest form of flattery and it makes me so happy that y’all enjoy my silly doodles so much,, ;o; basically I’m just emo and thankful and Rambling so,,, I won’t keep going but pls know how much all of this means to me! concept: strife accidentally lets his feelings about parvis slip when hes sick

OH H OHHOHHO let me tell you about SICK STRIFE

anon you’ve cracked open the messiest can of worms okay

Sick strife ties into the whole mess that is my Strife lore and whatnot so I won’t go TOO in detail, but like. Sick Strife begins this whole horrible descent of messy feelings and miscommunication for Parv.

The basis of this whole problem has to do with the fact that I headcanon Strife’s species (the glowie boys, as they’re formally known) as a species that’s particularly sensitive to touch. not in a bad way (in fact, more so in a comforting, alluring way). Strife is not particularly keen on this detail (It’s even part of the reason he splices his DNA, but that’s a whole other thing), and stays away from direct contact as much as he can (“don’t hug me. Don’t even think about touching me. stay away. grrr.” He’s like a feral cat). When he’s sick -- or rather, specifically when those of his species are sick, the whole “skin/direct contact and comforting touch thing is mega amplified. Not just because they’re typically accustomed to the comfort that touch brings, but because for them it actually has a soothing quality to it, so it lessens the pain/misery of being ill (this has to do with the whole, ‘since we glow, we’re technically giving off energy, etc etc’). So! Somehow (related to the last hc post I made about strife having a room in Castle Parv) when Parv manages to sneak into bed one night when Strife’s ill (Parv probably didn’t know- Will looks tired always anyway, and he’s not exactly keen on clueing Parv in to the fact that’s he’s particularly weak), he has no clue about any of this. 

But like... parv accidentally brushes past will while he’s sleeping, and poor unconscious ill Strife’s body is suddenly like: “TOUCH??? WANT BIG TIME.” so he essentially ends up curled against Parv’s side for the night, arm draped over Parv’s torso and trying desperately to get some more of that really nice contact! It probably also doesn’t help that the soothing quality of the comforting contact makes will sleep a lot easier (which hasn’t happened in years), making him mumble little things in sleep that he prooobably would never come close to saying out loud. 

For Parv, this is like an out of body experience. He feels like he’s in heaven, with THE big scary Ceo of THE Strife Solutions snuggled up to his side and mumbling against his neck. Parv correctly assumes that, unconscious and sensitive to touch or not, Will likely wouldn’t have been so quick to latch onto just anyone, so he has some inkling’s about the businessman’s liking towards him, regardless of how he treats parv while conscious. (Parv also understands BIG TIME that he can’t tell Will any of this happened, because he knows exactly how Will’s gonna react, and that won’t get them anywhere.) So, Will is kind of miraculously feeling a little better the next day, which is strange, but he doesn’t question it, and Parv’s got a little secret tucked under his belt! (This pattern goes on for a little while, along with some other unrelated things, but that’s more to do with my Strife lore n whatnot, so. another time =w=)

i just wanted to say your amazing art got me to watch yogs stuff and im so grateful for that. Just finished blackrock and it was so good!!! i love rythian, zoey and teep so much

Ahhhh!!!!!! I'm so so happy my art of the yogs inspired you to go watch them :D they've got some great stories!!! Blackrock is definitely one of my favorites for sure!! Rythian was my favorite character for a long long time, and the rest of the crew is so great as well!

If you're looking for some more content, I definitely recommend Blood and Chaos, Shadow of Israphel, or compilations (or the whole thing if you're a brave soul) of the Jaffa Factory Tekkit stuff! Or, if you want a "starter pack" of sorts, I made this post a while ago with some good series to start with :)

Either way I'm glad you love the doofs I draw! :D

okay but another concept: will reluctantly taking care of sick parvis and parv just admitting his feelings while feverish and half asleep

kldjskjdf Parv is all out of it and gosh Will is so warm and parv kinda feels warm all over but he can’t tell if that’s just the fever talking or if the hand Will has on his shoulder is like sending comfy cozy signals throughout the rest of him because Wow has Strife ever done this before? touched him? willingly??? but it feels nice and wow he kind of wishes Strife would like. hold him or touch him more or something because huh Will also looks really cute and soft right now, but that’s not saying much because he kind of looks cute and soft all the time which is funny because he’s always so angry and grumpy but in a cute way and woah have his eyes always been so green?

Meanwhile Strife looks extremely concerned, because he knows Parv has a fever but what’s with that stupid dazed expression and that dopey grin? and why is looking Will in the eye like that? 

and before either of them know it Parv wont shut his trap about all of the stupid stuff that comes to mind. He’s extremely mushy™ and he really likes will! Like! More than he should!

Will does NOT believe anything he hears when Parv starts gushing about how much he loves him. Even if he’s got this horrible feeling in his stomach that what Parv is saying might be genuine, it- can’t be, because Parv is sick, and just saying random stuff, and he’s out of it, and Parv I’m leaving to get you some more water.
