The Fosters is a phenomenal show. Every episode, I'm moved to tears. The way they handle adoption, race, queer children, queer families, trans* issues, drugs and alcoholism, the child services system... it is raw and pretty accurate, and yet the show still has the feel of a soap. I have never known anything like it.

To have two main actresses (Sherri Saum and Teri Polo) have that much chemistry and love for each other is stunning. I forget they're acting, and as they've both said many times, they are work wives. They love each other and it shines through and lights up the shows' entire focus - love.

Also... Rosie O'Donnell. I never thought I'd say it, but she has proved herself to be an amazing actress who also seems to be able to make me cry at the twinkle of an eye.

I never thought I'd get to see a mainstream primetime US show like this but I'm glad I did.
