DAISY - did your muse ever feel as though their innocence had been lost ? what moment in their life could be described as the end of their innocence ? A: This is something I tend to shy away from, because I think there’s a misunderstanding in the fandom about what ‘lost innocence’ actually means. Clearly, Faith grew up too fast. She had a bad home life, a hard childhood and she was still just a kid when she came to Sunnydale and everything went sideways. There are weird, gross fandom kinks about this subject and I don’t want to really delve into it because I’ll rant at people and nobody wants that, lol. Well, I want it, a little bit.
LAVENDER - how easy is it to gain your muse’s trust ? once their trust is broken , how might one go about mending it ? A: I’d love to say Faith was hardened, cool and never trusted anyone but the truth is that no matter how hard she tries, she trusts the wrong people. Platonically, romantically, whatever, Faith falls hard and fast and it makes it super easy to hurt her, and manipulate her. Once trust is broken, how it’s repaired (and IF it’s repaired) depends on how much Faith wants that relationship. Look at how easily she falls back in line with Angel, Giles, Wesley, Buffy... even after everything that happened. Heck with that, look how fast she took to some of those people, how hard she tried to befriend them? She’s naturally wary, and she’ll keep her eye on you but the truth is, she’s just not cool enough to not care.
