Look at you with all the fancy questions! Let me ask one: do you have a favorite philosopher? Why so?
Good evening, Kurt! Yeah, it's rather flattering but I feel awkward with all this attention... Sorry, Anonymous!
So, favorite philosophers, you say? I took a general philosophy course when I was a freshman so hopefully I can recall someone.
Max Scheler: Love is a bridge from poorer to richer knowledge. Scheler said that love is the "spiritual midwife" that makes us drawn to wanting to know about ourselves and the world around us. It's this "interest" that makes our thoughts worth more than thoughts. A person is a being who "loves", as opposed to only "thinking". I really liked that approach because I also believe that you should love what you do. :)
I'm sure there's others people might say are greater philosophers, but I personally reflect on Scheler's understanding to be similar to my own.
What about you, Kurt? Do you have a favorite philosopher?
random ones: 15, 22, 35, 44
Thanks, Kurt! :)
#15: Personality description.
Um, let's see... Kurt Hummel, let me try to describe Kurt Hummel. He's detail-oriented, very intelligent, and passionate about the things he cares about. He's a good friend to have for fun times and even more. :)
#22: Description of crush.
Hahaha, don't really have one, but my type is... someone who is assured of who they are and has a gaze that's just... indescribably intense. One look and you're gone. Pair that with a smile, although rare, that can light up the world. That's someone who I'm drawn to.
#35: Favorite subject.
Music and sociology! I loved to take those courses when I was an undergrad.
#44: Age you get mistaken for.
Sometimes bouncers think I'm underage (ooc: like that one time when I was late to that chatzy hahahah) but most of the time, their guesses that I'm in my early twenties is correct.
Favorite TV show of all time
It’s a three-way tie between The Office, Parks And Rec, and Arrested Development.
I used to like this one show but I can’t really stomach it anymore. I think you might know what it is; it used to be on my old blog.
If you were stranded in one place and all your other needs were met, what skin care product would you bring with you?
It depends on the place I’m in, but I’ll go with sunscreen. :)
