What if……

✨Hugo’s mom was the one who taught him ice dancing???✨

no,seriously.The boy is far too skilled to have learnt on his own(enchanted ice dancing,i feel,is a sport which is taught by an instructor (like,did y’all see those flips and spins??I don’t think they can be done alonee) and private tutors are out of the question (…in what world can he sneak in tutors without his dad’s knowledge?(will he pass them off as his fellow classmates—)

sooooo,that leaves his mom.(At this point of time,Garrick would rather be caught dead,with his body ripped apart rather than do enchanted ice dancing lmao)

depending on whether y’all see her as alive or dead,this can go two routes.

Dead: angst town.

Hugo could be ice dancing coz he wants to be close to his mom again in some form, but is afraid of showing his dad bcoz(along with the canon reasons) he feels that he would scold and scream at him for reminding him of his dear wife again(esp if she had passed on recently) (…. Actually,Garrick would CRY like a BABY on seeing it coz it reminds him of his zajchik* again-(he would cry harder on realising just why Hugo didn’t tell him😭)

Alive (my headcanon): OH THE SHENANIGANS.

Hugo’s mom would be far too busy rolling her eyes at her malysh* and her Myshonok* for their stupidity (while she 100% understands where her littlest baby is coming from, she also understands that her silly STOOPID man would choose his family over tradition EVERY. SINGLE. TIME(…that’s one reason she married him🤭) and upon showing him,he would IMMEDIATELY accept Hugo and might also try out ice dancing himself(this is canon btw) (oooohhh the shenanigans from this lmaooooo))

And just WHERE is Axel in all this?

well…in both paths,he would protect Hugo,first and foremost.

at first, he be like “Baby bro y u flying in the air for ice hockey?🤨” but later(MUCH LATER) he be like “ohhhhh…💡” and would shield him as much as possible

(It is my hc that Axel is much,MUCH more smarter and cunning than he lets on,and is prone to manipulating people and situations to get his way(he uses his skills ONLY for good,dw))(altho he is STILL oblivious(mostly) and his listening skills could…use some(read:a LOT) work lol(teenagers…😑)

(Hugo is practicing ice dancing in the castle ice rink,when all of a sudden,nearly ALL the men in his family walk in(misogynist squad ASSEMBLE))

Garrick: HUGO! Whatcha doin’ there, champ?

Hugo:(soul leaves body)(sees God in that moment)(returns to his body)(leaves body again)(FORCEFULLY pushes soul back in body) uh…hi dad!Dedushka!dyadia*….uh…I’m practicing ice HOCKEY!!😃😅

Grandpa:really?because THAT doesn’t seem like ice hockey to ME!!

Uncle:Hugo…plimyannik*….are you ice dancing??!!

(the old farts start whispering in the background “o bozhe miy*, ice dancing??” “The boys in our family don’t ICE DANCE!!” “Garrick,what is THIS?!”(grandpa))

Garrick:(looking terrified(of his dad) and shocked(and hurt(?))…Hugo??

Hugo:(looks terrified out of his mind,about to cry)

Suddenly,

Axel: WOW baby bro!! Ya know you should swerve to the right for a big finish!!

Axel: Oh HI dedushka! I see you’ve walked in on Hugo practicing ice hockey!!

idek about the bullying allegations tbh she could be right and that’s too much cognitive dissonance for ppl who idolise strangers 

i get gaby’s frustrations. she moved to ny 25 years ago, probably took her a long time to become tk manager, and probably also had the older immigrant sentiment of working hard through the hwhite approval system (based on who she tagged as her ba fam lol)

i’m guessing she felt shut out of the whole inequity convo while others (priya, sohla, and rick who she didn’t tag :( WTF ) were more of the vocal ones so possible resentment had been brewing since the Great BA-tsby

Gillian was positively sick of waiting. Sure, she'd promised Claudia that she wouldn't show up until her nephew was eighteen, but c'mon. She could feel him through the family link, and he needed her to teach him, and that was worth breaking the promise to her sister. 

She pulled her hair back into a messy ponytail and stretched; it was going to be a trying few days, but she was up for it if it meant helping another Owens witch get a handle on their powers. Gillian meowed softly, calling to her cat. It was time to pack and she'd need to animal's firm voice to remind her to pack more than just their small spellbook and a few tank tops.

She arrived in Beacon Hills just before sunset, three days before Yule. Northern California was cooler than she would have liked, but a bit of concentration she was able to wrap a warm bubble of air around herself; much better than having to dig a coat from her car. Her cat sat at her feet on the sidewalk in front of the Stilinski home. Lights were on inside, and she knew that she could just knock and John would greet her warmly enough. But... but.
