parts of the catastrophe had been tracked since the beginning. a record had been made , a book with dates written sitting open upon a desk alongside a helmet of strange nature. every occurrence that has been cast upon the inhabitants of this island were taken down as novella describing each one in overwhelming detail in a language not their own. though no one would understand - until now.
during the time that residents had taken heed of volcanic warnings and fled into their bunkers , estelle had rallied her people to set out upon this world and restore what was once lost. they rebuilt the land , though not exactly in the same shape it had been left in before the terror of an angry king , and welcomed those in hiding back into the light of the sun. it had been safe for so long , but prophecy told by a weary man once stated the arrival of a monster. estelle knew better than to shrug it off , and proceeded accordingly to handle the situation. mere months it took to deliver her request. and with her help , the massive mecha stood over the lives of this island with intent to protect - which is exactly what had been done . . . but with consequence.
as a last resort , she knew she’d need more power. a giant robotic hand plunged into the vault , wrapping around the zero point tucked safely away and plucking it from its perch. fingertips pressed hard , strong grip shattering glass and sending power through the machine in order to deliver the next to final blow on cattus. a pre-commissioned statue sat pretty in the center of neo tilted , shimmering and splendid even as its lovely model pulled it from its sheath within the earth and surged the rest of that power into the dark purple blade. cattus was soon no longer as the sword pierced skull , time visibly taking hold immediately and beginning a very swift decay. estelle took her leave , and left the zero point exposed.
but it was never any accident. she’d thought it all out , how the vault-keeper’s timepiece could be used to revert all the horror that these people had seen. and looking back to the book sitting upon that desk , it would be easy for anyone to now read that the things written were set to be reversed.
