She doesn’t understand why he won’t bring her to the client meetings when every now and then someone thinks they can simply shoot their way out of paying. She’s supposed to be in charge of his personal security and she worries. Not because he can’t fight for himself, but because he treats his inability to feel pain as an advantage when it’s in fact his biggest weakness. Angel fears that if she doesn’t keep an eye on him, he’ll drop dead. And whoever the higher-ups send to take his place will certainly not leave her uncollared.
But it is not her place to make those sorts of comments, so she simply sutures his wound in silence and taps his shoulder once she’s done.
