i am glad to see "medically recognized" begin to take precedence over "diagnosed" in system circles. it's a much more broadly encompassing term and it's nice to see a move away from diagnostics as the end all be all, especially with such stigmatized disorders

#there's an important distinction to be made there #our systemhood is not medically recognized yet but our dissociation is; neither are diagnosed #medical diagnosis is heavily gatekept for all sorts of reasons #however if you are working with a therapist / professional who treats and recognizes your symptoms... diagnosis is not always necessary #-🕯
