"Talk straight... What, are you here for a history lesson on the intricacies of my floor? I'm going to show you the doorway, isn't that enough?"
⠀⠀⠀⠀It would make sense if she wanted a history lesson at least - she was the Patron of the Floor of History after all. With their arms finally free, they're tucked back into their pockets, and they keep on down the path as it gradually starts to turn in the air, though even as the slant grows, they never seem to even begin falling toward the void below.
⠀⠀⠀⠀One would be able to infer that the properties of space here didn't follow the norm, the distortions created from the time adrift in the Light inciting unusual properties. Namely the localized non-standard gravitational pull of the platforms, which had so far caused everyone from inside the Library Normal to have an adverse reaction.
⠀⠀⠀⠀Roland lost his proverbial head, Aelia got stuck on a sideways platform and started panicking, and Angela couldn't even cross the pathways without suffering physical repercussions. The distorted light seemed to have a stronger effect on Angela than anyone else, now that they thought about it - she even declined to personally visit Dimensional Sciences unless it was particularly important.
"Like I said, they're not exactly invites, more of a backdoor pass. Creating a stable bridge to a world is one thing, but being able to reliably reach that bridge and come back across it once you've departed on the other side is a whole different deal. How can I explain this..."
⠀⠀⠀⠀A classic hand brought to their chin in thought, before making a vague gesture. They're now standing sideways on the platform, watching Malkuth carefully to see how she handles the pathway, all while trying to explain as best as possible.
"Imagine a train - simple and easy, you can get on at one point, and get off at another. Now imagine that when you get off at the other point, the entire train station moves away from you, so you can't get back on the train. The backdoor pass that Angela created serves as a means to normalize the spatial coordinates of that train station. Effectively, when the backdoor pass is used, it tells that train station where and when to be, so you can get back on the train and take it back to the original station."
"In this case, the original station is the Library, the train is the bridge, and the second station is whatever world that bridge leads to."
