excel hunts the weak. i say this as someone who fights it for a living (well, fights it until i have an excuse to start using R, but)

i didn’t have to use excel until the last few years and then i absolutely loathed it until someone who actually knew how to use it correctly gave me some pointers. now it’s kind of a love/hate thing. it’s really easy to use poorly and inheriting someone else’s shitty spreadsheets is not fun. also why do people insist on using bright, blaring primary colors for everything? it’s like getting stabbed in the eyeball. we all need to embrace grey and pastels.

I’m used to calling those around me either child and young one as a term of endearment but it seems people take it as condescension.
