#artwork#DELTARUNE#deltarune dess#kris#had this in my head since yesterday from a weird daydream#one which wanted to explain the core conceit of HOW Kris knew how to remove their own SOUL#and the answer I came up with was “Accidentally and Directly involved in Dess's Disappearance”#Dess grabbed their chest in desperation to avoid falling; only for her to grab the SOUL#and it breaking loose broke her grip over anything; resulting in her Falling Away into Deepest Dark#as for the reason Kris couldn't give their hand... They were still confined to being a Cage while the SOUL was contained.#Action and autonomy was not something they knew they even had.#...or something like that haha
