@tiefthicf liked for a starter.
This is not the first time they have had a Talon operative- well, former Talon operative, decide to switch sides and join their ranks. Only, the newest recruit is a lot more open about her past than the former. Not that he blames either of them, of course: on one hand, one might want to forget their past and move on. On the other, accepting one's past and moving forward despite it can be just as healing for others. No matter what their motivations for changing their minds may be ―― Winston can't help but feel a little bit of pride swell in his chest. If they can decide to join the side of good and start over, Overwatch must be making a difference.
Still, he hasn't actually talked to the new recruit yet, outside of the basic training (which… wasn't really basic OR training. not to mention that training isn't exactly his forte, so he was quick to pawn it off on to Lena, who was more than eager). So.. there's not much he even knows about her other than that.
The two sit in silence after their first mission together, and he shifts awkwardly. He's not the best at small talk, whether it's between acquaintances or old friends. He still attempts to break the ice, though, in the only way he knows how.
"How do you throw a party… in space?"
