13. How far past the canon events that take place in their world have you extended their story, if at all?
Orbulon: Time-wise, I’ve extended Orbulon’s the longest. That’s mostly due to his backstory, which spans a perhaps surprising amount of time! Lots of things happen to him before Resonant Frequency begins that have a lot of bearing on the story, so I developed his past quite a bit. And his future? Well…let’s just say that’s a spoiler.
Eloisia: Before Resonant Frequency begins, Eloisia’s had a rough time of things. I had to develop a lot of those things to get a clearer idea of her character and motivations. Future-wise, I also know exactly what’s going to happen to her when Resonant Frequency ends. Those events would be spoilers, of course, but I definitely know what they’re going to be.
Salvatore: A common theme for the golden trio - I developed Salvatore’s backstory quite a bit, too. He also undergoes a lot of, shall we say complex development throughout Resonant Frequency, so I had to carefully plot out what happens to him and what he reveals when. Because of the nature of those reveals, I can tell you almost all of Sal’s life story. And that’s all I’ll say.
