Reim stood in silence for a moment, processing her words. So she had not lost her memory, just... the fragments of it that contained people close to her? He knew the photograph she was speaking of - it had been taken so long ago. Losing the memories tied to it... Reim could hardly imagine what that would feel like.
He longed to dry her tears and hold her close, yet doing so would feel brash and inappropriate.
“Is there... anything at all I can do to help? I could,” he made a gesture that conveyed helplessness, “tell you stories of the past or... or re-introduce you to everyone, I...”
Reim was not sure whether his offer was useful or not. Still, to try and possibly fail to achieve something was better than to not try at all.
