“When a firefighter dies, the toll of the bell represents their last alarm. Once the bell rings, it can't be un-rung. There's no more denying it. The end is here. The bell rings to say the shift is over. The bell rings to say goodbye. The bell rings to say it's time to go home”
Spn Nostalgia - Day 5
Urban Legends
Roadkill from Season 2 is my favourite for many reasons:
The shift in point-of-view right at the beginning
The Sixth Sense-esque twist in the tale
The eerie, almost monochromatic look
Sam's patience and gentleness with Molly
Dean's uncharacteristic rudeness and derision which makes sense only on re-watch
The way it all comes together at the end - but with more questions than answers!
Also, one of my most favourite Sam quotes: 'Hope's kinda the whole point'!
i’ll be honest, something made me feel like the show was never gonna explicitly tell us that belos is phillip. it was revealed in elsewhere & elsewhen, obviously, and thought maybe it was gonna become clearer in hollow mind via more prevalent clues that actually connect directly, but i was not expecting the emperor to straight up call luz by her name and show her a montage of their own shared memories and then expect her to do the same. that’s crazy.
ntm a character’s reaction to such an emotional reveal always tugs my strings harder than the reveal itself since it reminds me of my own time a couple years ago when i was shown something obvious that i probably should have already figured out, but it broke me nonetheless. especially from hunter’s pov, since it was about a (granted, somewhat-parasocial) relationship that was deeply personal to me.
