for the multiple palaces au, are there any bad end!joker palaces?

oh that’s thinking further than I did (for as much as I wrote, I really was mostly chasing an impulse lol, and only thought of about 4 Palace concepts when supposedly there should be 12)

For my characterization of Ren, I’d say it’s possible he’d make an impulse bad choice after enough earnest attempts, and then the distortion would probably come about from him regretting it a ton after the brief appeal of novelty wore off.  Still would probably be very confusing for the PT viewing a distortion based on “good deal” timeline...although thinking about it, a “good deal” timeline could also have been what caused the video game Palace (repeating the same thing so many times that things feel unreal and like you can do whatever you want).  Going with that idea, the video game Palace should probably be grittier.  but maybe that Shadow mellowed out lol

A very possible bad end for an ng+ joker to be distorted over would be if there were multiple timelines where he was drugged too heavily and Sae ended her interrogation early.  Since it’s not really in his conscious control, if he doesn’t swing events out of order earlier (maybe felt pressured at one point that he had to keep to approximate game timeline), he’s seriously rolling the dice.  The police station would be...grim.  very grim.

is midorikawa's new oneshot the reason natsuyuu is on hiatus?

It’s possible! Though I’m not completely convinced it’s the sole reason for the current hiatus. I feel that if it were, it’d make more sense for it to be released this month rather than in April. May is when Natsume Yuujinchou is scheduled to return, and it’s a bimonthly series after all, but yeah the oneshot could partially be responsible for it.

after browsing through your blog, i decided to read black butler again after having not read it for several years. after much reading, im finally finished with the green witch arc and getting to new material and am very excited for whats next. thanks! (and good luck on the fic you're currently working on!)

The Green Witch arc was great, it was a fantastic look at Ciel’s psyche and how he views himself. The Blue Cult arc is long and a bit slow but there’s uh a pretty big twist (which you might know if you’ve been on my blog whoops). I hope you enjoy!

are you planning on playing strikers? (and for the ask meme, how about SMT?)

Preordered strikers!  Though I feel like I should have gotten an e-mail confirming it was shipped by now so I’m a little hmmmmmmm (but I did recently get one asking to confirm the order details so it should probably be fine).

The other game is BD2 which basically means buying a Switch once I beat Strikers, I figure.

I still haven’t played too far into the SMT game I have but I do really like the way the negotiations have a bit of realism in that sometimes the demon is NOT planning on coming with you no matter what you do.  sometimes it’s just trying to screw you over and is seeing how big a sucker you’ll be before it leaves.  The bit of Charon not wanting to do his job is a funny way to implement a bit of forgiveness in the game mechanics too.  Also just the whole force/blown away status thing and how you recover the lost ally is a neat little status effect that I haven’t really seen anywhere else.
