Now that he's got pockets full of protein bars, he's just gotta stake out the right place for morning runs and at least he'll have SOME kinda normal to look forward to- after all, he ain't gettin' soft while he's away from home, no sir!

The train pulls up when he's slouched over his phone - still no Metaverse app...? - and he's 'bout to dart in when he spots a young girl kinda idling in the station.

Huh? A kid? In a weirdo place like this? Frowning, Ryuji looks around for anyone that might be a type of guardian to this kid, but... it doesn't look like others around are payin' much mind.

He's seen some dangerous types lurking about. This ain't right!

Ryuji swaggers over, remembers to tone his vibe down a notch, and attempts to straighten up a bit, loosening his shoulders. "Hey, yo, kid, you gotta go find your parents. Brother? Sister, sibling? Ya can't be out wanderin' like this around this time of night!"

This is it! The SMARTEST plan he's ever had! Takin' pics of all the weird landmarks to figure out how to get where he's goin' - yeah, he'd say he's about at JOKER level of brilliance! Except, just before he snaps one of super sick venue known as "The Spiral Dome", he thumbs through the previous photos. And, as he's scrolling, he starts to notice something peculiar... Or, rather, someone peculiar? IN, LIKE, ALL OF HIS SHOTS. Incredulous, he dares a glance up and, YEAH, there's the guy! There's the guy photobombing all his sick pics! "Yo! Dude! Bro, what gives, man?! You some kinda weird-" He fumbles for the right word, "Anti-paparazzi-ist or somethin'?!" Yeah, that's not right. Whattya call this kinda jerk?! "C-chronic photobomber-er?!" That's closer...

There's a faint yellow paint trail in this part of the city, and when Ryuji kicks at it with his shoe, it smudges like it's fresh. Curious brow shooting into his hairline, he hunches over as he walks to squint at its faint traces- where is it going?

He's eventually led to an area of the Archimedes Ward that's the most packed with alleyways and he finds himself going down a more secluded one, yellow flecks spotting here and there along the way.

Eventually, he ends up at a small pool of yellow ink, a completely fresh puddle, and Ryuji grunts a, "Heh?" before looking up and all around the alleyway to find its source, but to no avail.

It's way fresh, though! Did someone just dump a bucket and dip?

"Yeah, I don't get this at all." Stooping low into a crouch, he reaches over to stick his finger in the puddle.

Aw, a freakin' cafe. Now he's really startin' to get homesick! Ryuji kicks at the floor as he studies the design of the building over, slowly hunching over as he starts to delve deeper and deeper into his thoughts. He's halfway to the floor right at the door of the place when he hears someone approaching and he straightens up in a flash, clearing his throat. "JUST, UH, TYIN' MY SHOES." He's gotta sell it harder. Jabbing a thumb to indicate the shop, he cocks his head at the girl before him, his eyes searching for words his mind won't find, dammit! "Ya... think they sell curry here?"

What the hell is this thing? A church? It sure as hell looks like one and Ryuji stares at the grandiose entrance, hands fisted in his pockets, lip jutting out as he looks over his shoulder- Yeah, all clear. He ain't gonna walk in this place and start suddenly actin' like he's sacred 'n shit, but... since he's OUT here and all... "A-ahem. YO, whoever freakin' put us here, you can hear me, right? 'Kaaay, good show, super interestin', hardy har-har. Ya think you can send me back now? I ain't got nothin' for ya, and without the Thieves, there's nothin' to look forward to from this guy! So, uh, how 'bout we call it a day and the Thieves of Heart won't even go messin' with ya! How 'bout that, eh? C'mon, let's strike a deal or something!" His voice echoes out and, after a few minutes, Ryuji hangs his head. Ain't no way a response is comin'. He starts to head out - and notices someone's been there. The whole time?! "Hey... HEY, MAN. YOU DIDN'T HEAR A THING."

"Ya gotta be shittin' me... they got a whole ass SCHOOL here too?!" Just his luck to stumble into the EDUCATIONAL side of the crazy city, but it's not like anyone's been demandin' he get his ass in a classroom, so he's gonna double back and look for somethin' cooler IMMEDIATELY. "Yeah, hard pass. Let's see what else they- Oomph-" He smacks into someone and starts to rattle off a, "Watch it, pal," before he blinks to and realizes... he's gotta stare WAY up to look at this guy! Oh, no FREAKIN' way. The crazies that brought him here are forreal gonna try to make him sit through a lecture! And they sent a behemoth of a teacher to drag him there! He jumps back a foot and points at the guy, sweating. "Hey, hey, think about this! You reeeeally don't wanna drag a guy like me to class! Jus' think of how much quieter yer class'll be without me in it, huh? Huh?!"

Yeaaaah, this ain't the grub he bought. Ryuji's staring down into the bag of the stuff he's SURE he did not just buy, backtracking to his travels on the train... SHIT. Is it possible he'd swapped bags with someone when he'd sleepily stumbled off at his stop? No way... It's a lost cause now... ... But damn it all if he's not gonna try to mad dash back there and get his stuff back! Even if he'd already made it back to the condos! Of course, just when he's about to sprint with the momentum of the spin he makes to go back, he stops juuuuust short of tumbling right into someone. "WHOA, there! Sorry 'bout that! No harm, no foul, eh? Sorry, but I gotta jet-" ... He stops and stares hard at the bag in the other person's grasp. He squints harder.
