New llama! I find it personally funny people make a big distinction between llamas and alpacas and I'm like: they look about the same! The thing is llamas are bigger and are beast of burden that also produce nice wool... and alpacas are smaller and only raised for their wool.... and! We also have vicuñas and guanacos, those are wild family members of the same family of camleids from the Andes. Let's say I am curious about why people are interested in llamas, like... they are part of the life in the Andes countries hehe our cultures and way of life. Are people interested in that or they are just cute pets or the competition to sheep? And why do they connect them to cacti? Like, we have cacti too and all that, but I have always connected llamas with their habitat in the highlands...
