Sun Degree Theory
An important thing that I have noticed with the degree of one’s sun is that the degree often marks the age when a defining event will happen.
For example, I have my sun at 11 degrees in the 9th house and when I was 11 years old, I had severe depression (11 degrees) because of my family moving across the US (9th house signals travels). As my sun was in Aries, this change occurred very rapidly. I used to be a very carefree person but this event completely changed me and my view of the world. Now I am much more serious and pessimistic.
I also analyzed my mother’s birth chart and her sun is in 13 degrees. When I asked her if any defining event happened to her, she told me that when she was 13 years old, her left her family and moved to another city to study by herself. This event marked the first steps in her eventually separation with her family.
