I think it’s finally safe to say that you’re completely out of my life and I’m glad. I feel relieved. It’s funny when you’re in love, all you see is the good in a person and don’t see the little things they do to you that aren’t right. When things between us ended, I could finally see them. You tried to change my appearance because it wasn’t enough for you. I was too in love to see that I was being mistreated. A boyfriend should love and accept everything about their girlfriend. When you broke up with me, I was the most heartbroken I had ever been. It took me a while to realize that it wasn’t worth crying over someone who did you wrong. I worked on myself, discovered new passions and I became genuinely happy not being in a relationship. I became so much more independent. Six months later, I met someone amazing. No one has ever made me laugh as much as he does every day and I can completely be myself around him. “You’re beautiful and I love every inch of you” is what he told me when we first started dating and I knew that he meant it. What I love about our relationship is that we are like two independent and awesome people who are even more amazing together. He never expected me to change and I learned that if I want to change anything about myself, then I will do it for me and only me. I guess what I’m trying to say in this really long post is that, I thought you were the best thing that was gonna happen to me and I was so heartbroken when you decided to just leave me without fully explaining why. But I learned that sometimes things have to end for a new beginning to start or for something better to come along. I don’t have my life together yet being that I’m 21, but I am quite happy with myself and with him. Life is a journey and I’m glad that I’m spending this part of my journey with you, A.
