Traitor~ Scott Reed
Summary: Scott was a great boyfriend, but you couldn't continue to be with him if he would defend Bryce. That's why you left him, but when you do something to defend his name can he win you back.

Walking into the cafeteria my eyes lock with Scott's holding a silent conversation. He was asking me to come over to him with his eyes, but I couldn't. Scott was my boyfriend but I wasn't going to sit with him if he was with a rapist, everyone knew it whether they believed it or not.
Scott was one of the ones who didn't believe it, in fact he defended him. It killed me how much he had Bryce’s back even though I knew it was true first hand. So instead of weaving through the crowd to my boyfriend where he was seated I slipping into a seat at an empty table deciding if much rather eat alone.
Soon after I began eating a tray was dropped in front of me followed by Scott himself asking, “What's up with you, why aren't you sitting with me?”
“You know exactly why I'm not sitting with you,” I huff out not even looking up from the fries on my plate.
“Oh come on. I really don't understand what your problem is with Bryce he's not even a bad guy.”
“Not a bad guy? Scott he's a fucking rapist,” I whisper yell at him not to draw attention to ourselves.
“Oh my god y/n you sound like every other fucking girl in this school,” he said letting out a sigh.
When the sentence left his mouth I felt my heart clench, no Scott didn't know what happened between Bryce and I, because that was before him, but I definitely didn't plan on telling him now. Instead I gather as much courage as I could and said, “Then I think we need to break up.”
“W-what?”
“I think we should break up Scott, I can't be with you if you are going to defend him in sorry.”
“You're seriously going to leave me, us, over this?”
I couldn't bring myself to speak again without breaking down so I just nodded as I stood, tray in hand walking away from the table. Scott didn't follow me or try to do anything to keep me there so I left.

Standing at my locker a week later I hear the girl beside me talking to her friend so I try to ignore it until I hear, “well I mean Scott and Monty are the only two always backing him up so they must be rapists too.”
Scott may defend Bryce but he was nothing like him, so I snap my locker shut turning to the two girls and asking, “I'm sorry but what did you just say?”
To which I gain the reply, “Not that it was your business, but I said since Scott and Monty back Bryce up they must be rapists too. I mean isn't that why you two broke up?”
“Scott Reed is not a fucking rapist okay, yes he may back one up which pisses me off but he is not one himself. He is sweeter than a majority of the jocks on that team and doesn't deserve such assumptions since no one will throw them at the actual rapist as easily as you two just did,” I basically growl out taking a step forward, ready to rip the girl to pieces for putting the two in the same category.
As I step toward the two shocked girls I feel an arm pulling me back, away from the crowd that began to form around us. Turning to see who it is I am met with Scott's face, I could see he was sorry just by looking at him but I needed him to say it. This wasn't something that was just going to go away.
Pulling my body from his grip I don't say anything, I just keep walking when I hear, “Can we talk? Please?”
I nod and say “Meet me at lunch,” before walking off to class as the warming bell sounds reminding me where we are.

After what felt like forever the bell finally rung for lunch and I made my way to the table we sat at a week before, not bothering to get lunch. After about five minutes Scott slid into the seat in front of me without a word.
After a little he spoke saying, “I love you okay, and I'm so sorry about it all I really am. If I could go back and change it I would in a heartbeat, you wouldn't have even had the chance to leave the table if I would have just listened to you...I should have listened to you,” by the time he was done talking his voice was a whisper.
I knew Scott was hurting over what his did, and I already forgave him before he even apologized. So I slipped a hand across the table pulling his hand into mine, squeezing softly.
“I know you're sorry. And I forgive you, I forgave you earlier but I needed to hear you say it before I did anything. I could tell by the look on your face that you were hurting without me, and I'm hurting without you too Scott. I love you too.”
