The finals were soon coming, Mina still had one year left to finish her studies, and by this time she’d taken a part-time job at a cafe shop. Since she was still a rookie, and one of the youngest, she did as she was told to everything her superior co-workers asked. Most of the time.
It would be a lie to deny she wasn’t starting to get a little stressed out due for the amount of homework she was left to do, not only for her school, but she’d to make sure to control her emotions to avoid any out of the ordinary accident. After all, she wanted to try and become a full-time barista soon, so she had to try her best, in the magical side too.
“Can you please throw this out?” a coworker asked her, to what she agreed along with a nod while taking the trash bags. Fortunately, her shift was soon going to be over and they were at what she liked to call ‘time-out’ due not many clients seemed to come at that hour.
Once out something, or someone better said caught her attention. After throwing her bags, Mina stopped her tracks, as a dog was hiding not too har from her spot. A dutch shepherd, usually she would avoid dogs who were large enough to reach her knees, however this one seemed ...different. Mina couldn’t traced it, but the dirt around it spoke of the time it’s been out, and his tongue out was a plead for water.
“It’s all right.” she spoke softly to the creature with raised arms trying to keep it calm, “Just wait a little bit, please.” she added hurrying back to get a one plate full of water, and perhaps it would be all right to get a few treats for it too. No one really spotted her at that time, for many co workers took the opportunity to get some food for themselves too. Probably just assumed she was getting that bread and plate for herself.
What an odd one, she managed to listen.
“Here little...big one.” Mina had placed the plate of water, and bread in front of the canine, of course in order not to scare him away she stepped away a little bit. Although she wouldn’t move until she’d made sure it had at least drank some water. She would clean thoroughly them later on. “It’s all right."
