Not that you’re not allowed to call it that, but I always feel super weird when I see it be called “Sound Euphonium” cause like I’m so used to Hibike
It’s the same with Laid Back Camp and Yuru Camp as well actually
Episode 6 of Machikado Mazoku was great, we got to see Momo when she was a long-haired loli and she was super cute, also Momo was sick this episode and Shamiko took care of her and that’s always a lot of fun, it also means that the pair are gonna be teaming up to protect the city and also Mikan’s being introduced next episode and ah this is all wonderful.
Sailor Moon R episode 3 was fine, mostly another Cardian of the week one, but this time with the addition of Mako getting some cool character moments relating to a boy that we’ve never heard of before. Also Mamoru’s memories might not necessarily be restored but now he’s doing this thing where he puts of some white costume and throws white roses and is called the Moonlight Knight? He promises Sailor Moon an opportunity to talk soon and I can’t wait for that because I’ve got no idea why he’s doing this instead of being Tuxedo Mask. Also Usagi says “Could a friendship really exist between a boy and a girl that’s different from [romantic] love?” and like, yeah she’s naive as hell, but I’m also super excited to meet Sailors Neptune and Uranus and have Usagi learn that love doesn’t have to exist only between boys and girls.
Fading Muscle Memory
Date : 15 August 2019
Duration : 29 minutes at bedtime
Depth :
The weapon of mass distraction used by the super conscious mind is bending time. From what I have experienced so far, it seems like our circadian rhythm is located in the super conscious mind.
There is a part of me that continues to go ‘wow’ every time I realise that the super conscious is doing its number on me. The way it does it ! Last night, after I finished with my set of count breathing, I had no idea if I had done it already or not. There is no sense of sequence left in the super conscious mind.
The subconscious, even the deep sleepy subconscious, churns out images in some sort of order. Or at least, one can attempt to analyse the motive behind the order of images. Freud spent a considerable amount of time studying this. The super conscious mind can take away your sense of sequence.
It almost seems to me that muscle memory disappears in the super conscious mind. Things that have been held together by the subconscious seem to disintegrate here. Time getting warped in one’s head while meditating isn’t comforting. It’s quite a weapon to wield.
Last night I lost the meditation battle. I made a whole hearted effort to Hong Sau. It’s unfortunate that I made that effort after allowing my mind to be confused by the super conscious. I lasted the session but not very well.
I’m like legit hung up on that last ask wow. “2 episodes of a show that you still liked felt like filler?” hahahahahahahha then this entire other show will feel like filler, and this is a compelling argument because people like that other show and if you say they all feel like filler then ur wrong”.
" Desmond and Flora episodes felt like filler". Every episode of Cowboy bebop will feel like filler to you then. Desmond's episode explained Angela's gender who displays characteristics of both sexes due to the influence of the Martian environment. Flora's episode gave a good reason why Gus didn't sign the contract after the Mar's brightest arc.
I’ve not seen Cowboy Bebop but Carole & Tuesday has an actual narrative that progresses throughout most of the entire show that wouldn’t allow you to skip an episode. I feel like if I skipped the Desmond and Flora episodes the narrative wouldn’t actually change at all. We’re just cutting away from Carole’s, Tuesday’s, and Angela’s efforts to become successful musicians for two nobodies that won’t appear again. Slice of life is my favourite genre, I don’t need you telling me “hur dur every episode of another unrelated show is filler then lol”. (obviously it’s not entirely unrelated because Shinichiro Watanabe but still)
I don’t really know what you mean when you say Angela displays characteristics of both sexes, she seems pretty female to me, and if you to justify characters being not strictly male or female that’s fine but I don’t think that needs an entire episode to it, nor does anything else in the Desmond episode amount to anything.
Your point about the Flora episode justifying Gus’ right to refuse a contract is your only point that’s even half good, but even then Gus still told us in the episode where he refused the contract that they’d retain more creative control that way. He already had a good reason and once again I don’t feel like they had to waste an entire episode on a character that won’t be relevant again just to make that reason feel a tad more justified.
Carole & Tuesday episode 17 was pretty good. A bit weird that they introduce the future technology of J Cards in this episode as though they’ve always been a part of the world specifically so they could have Ertegun end up bankrupt, but if it means getting to hear more Mamoru Miyano I’ll take it. It’s also cool that this episode doesn’t just end with the conflict resolved, since the Desmond and Flora episodes felt like filler. Also Angela’s stalker’s being hella twisted, such that this episode had the second on-screen death of a character. What fun.
