The situation in Turkey is dire.

Essentially, the presidential candidate candidate Ekrem Imamoğlu, who is the only candidate who has a chance of winning aganist the 20 year long regime of Erdogan, has been detained for false charges a couple of days before his political party, CHP which is also the largest opposition party in Turkey, has elected their presidential candidate.

This is an active attempt at destroying democracy within the country and also makes it clear at last that Erdogan is a dictator who is ignoring the constitution.

National news channels are not reporting on the protests and side with the government, there is a heavy censorship. The internet has been slowed down to the point of being UNUSABLE without the use of a VPN.

The Taksim Square and ALL the roads going up to it, train, bus, main roads, are all closed off because it is an important and historical place of protest.

There are protests everywhere in the country, in all the major cities. University students are the leading people within these protests while CHP has stayed passive about the whole thing. For now, protests are not violent but people are persistent. Meanwhile, the police have begun using pepper spray and plastic bullets aganist the protestors!

Turkey has not seen a series of political protests this large in the past 12 years, ever since the Gezi Park Protests which you might remember if you have seen it in the news.

Please show your support online and relay this message to any turkish people you might know in your country.

Know this - Erdoğan is a dictator, his regime is a regime of terror, and these protests are NOT UNLAWFUL.

WHATEVER MEDIA MAY TELL YOU, ESPECİALLY THE POPULAR TURKISH MEDIA SUCH AS A HABER AND THE LIKE ARE LYING BECAUSE THEY ARE OWNED BY ERDOGAN.

THERE IS POLICE AND STATE VIOLENCE IN TURKEY IN PROTESTS AGANIST THE GOVERNMENT AND INJUSTICE AFTER THE UNLAWFUL ARREST OF EKREM IMAMOGLU, THE MAYOR OF ISTANBUL.

A series of pictures taken by a foreign journalist. The police of the state is kicking down a protestor in Saraçhane who has the turkish state's flag wrapped around them. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has not made any comments regarding this, and are insistent that police brutality does not exist in turkey.

"50% SALE IN THE SECOND BOOK YOU PURCHASE *except in education books*." ////

"The Ministy of Education Yusuf Tekin took pictures in D&R, which is in CHP's (republican people's party) announced boycott list." - A turkish twitter user quote-tweeted it, saying

"pops, look at the way the ministers of this country act, you'll fucking lose your mind."

Boycott calls have been given by the opposition Republican People's Party. Following this many brands went into gigantic sales an an economic atmosphere of panic drove these brands to put pictures of Mustafa Kemal and the turkish flag in their storea. One such many is D&R, a brand of the Turkuvaz Media Group connected to AKP (Justice and Development Party- Erdogan's Party). They have started a %50 sale in every single book EXCEPT for education books. The jokes write themselves. The country's MINISTER OF EDUCATION PERSONALLY WENT THERE AND TOOK PICTURES OF HIMSELF READING A BOOK IN ORDER TO ANNOUNCE HIS SUPPORT TO THE BRAND. How pathetic can you get?

A picture of the latest (2023) elections across the country, with only AKP shown. "See, these are the people who try to dominate and crush us under all the institutions. Don't overestimate them in your eyes. You, you are gigantic." - refering to the protestors.

"No nooooo it's a pikachu coup." - a tweet made by a turkish twitter user. Underneath are pictures of CNN TURK showing pictures of someone who showed up to the protests in a Pikachu costume. The news say:

"Is this a propaganda study for GenZ?" ,

"A Japanese symbol in the protests",

"Did Pikachu become a tool for calling masses to the streets?", and

"A psychological war with Pikachu?" respectivelty. Underneath is a close up. The man in the pikachu costume is running away from the police.

A picture of a convoy of riot forces PROTECTING the coffee chain Espresso Lab, whose ties have been confirmed to Bilal Erdogan. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has also gone to this chain and took pictures and videos to show his support to the chain and to show that boycott calls are not working... when photos of empty Espresso Lab shops emerge every day.

The group further drew ridicule to themselves after it became obvious that their cups of coffee were in fact empty. Not even full of water. They didn't even purchase coffee. Took videos, pictures, and left.

The police are protectors of investors and the rich. It is truly a wonder that the same forces are absolutely useless at preventing femicides.

A failed protest in Cevahir- A shopping mall in Istanbul. About 200 riot forces from the looks of it surrounding students as if they are terrorists to prevent them from escaping. Even after the protestors met the demands of revealing their faces and being video-filmed to be used aganist them for detaining further down the line, 120 students got arrested in the spot through tortruous methods, via tight plastic hand cuffs and being dragged all over the pavement.

The protest was peaceful. THE PROTEST WAS PEACEFUL.

A LIST OF CRIMES COMMITED BY THE STATE, POLICE, MEDIA, AND HOSPITALS IN THE PAST 10 DAYS:

WOMEN HAVE GOTTEN KICKED IN THEIR GROINS AND WERE SUBJECTED TO TORTURE AND ILL TREATMENT IN DETENTION.

A GROUP OF 12 DETAINED WOMEN WERE BARELY FED AND WERE BEATEN IN THE DETENTION CENTER, AND SUBJECTED TO NAKED SEARCH.

A WOMAN WAS SEXUALLY ATTACKED BY A POLICE OFFICER AND WAS RIDICULED BY FEMALE OFFICERS. THE ASSAILANT HAD GROPED HER BREASTS AFTER PULLİNG HER TO THE BACK OF AN AMBULANCE AND ASKED HER "OH, YOU HAVE BREASTS? HOW CUTE".

GOVERNMENT-FRIENDLY MEDIA REFUSED TO SHOW FOOTAGE OF POLIVE VIOLENCE, NOR THE MEETING DONE BY CHP DESPITE MORE THAN 2 MILLION CITIZENS' ATTENDANCE AND 800K LIVE VIEWERS.

DOCTORS DO NOT NOTE DOWN THE WOUNDS ON PROTESTORS NOR FILE ASSAULT REPORTS.

7 WOMEN WHO WERE IN THEIR PERIODS AMONG THEM HAVE NOT GOTTEN PADS OR TAMPONS DESPITE OF THEIR REQUESTS, AND DESPITE THE POLICE FORCES BEING RESPONSIBLE OF MEETING THESE DEMANDS BY LAW.

THESE 7 WOMEN HAD TO SPEND THE NIGHT WITH A SINGULAR PAD AND BLOOD GOT ALL OVER THEIR CLOTHES.

THE POLICE FORCES DO NOT WEAR THEIR REGISTRATION NUMBERS ON THEIR CLOTHES NOR THEIR HELMETS, DESPITE THE LAW SAYING THAT THEY MUST.

THEY ARE REQUIERED TO SAY THEIR REGISTRATION NUMBERS BY LAW DURING DETENTION BUT THEY DO NOT. TO AVOID BEING SUED BY THE PEOPLE THEY HAVE DETAINED UNJUSTFULLY.

THEY CANNOT USE PEPPER SPRAY UNLESS THERE IS A DIRECT ATTACK TOWARDS THEM, BUT THEY DO.

THE MINISTRY OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS HAVE COME OUT WITH A STATEMENT SAYING THAT THERE ARE NO PLASTIC BULLETS IN THE INVENTORY OF POLICE FORCES BUT AN UNDISCLOSED NUMBER OF INJURED PROTESTORS HAVE COME OUT WITH WOUNDS ON THEIR ARMS, LEGS, TESTICULAR REIGONS AND EVEN EYES INFLICTED BY THESE BULLETS. ONE OF THESE PROTESTORS ALMOST WENT BLIND.

THE GOVERNMENT IS CORRUPT AND POLICE VIOLENCE IS THROUGH THE ROOF IN TURKEY.

1 BBC REPORTER HAD GOTTEN DETAINED AND THEN EXILED FROM TURKEY FOR ATTENDING "ILLEGAL PROTESTS AND SPREADING HOSTILITY AMONG THE PUBLIC".

1 SWEDISH REPORTER HAS GOTTEN DETAINED AND ACORDING TO HIS ACCOUNT WAS URGED TO FILM A PROPAGANDA VIDEO TO AVOID BEING ARRESTED. THE JOURNALIST REFUSED TO DO SO "IN FEAR OF THIS VIDEO BEING USED BY THE CORRUPT GOVERNMENT".

MORE THAN 500 STUDENTS SO FAR HAVE BEEN ARRESTED FOR ATTENDING THESE PROTESTS AND ARE CURRENTLY KEPT IN JAILS WITHOUT A SENTENCE, AWAITING FURTHER TRIAL.

THE ISTANBUL HEAD PROSECUTION HAS QUITE LITERALLY MADE UP A CRIME OF "ATTENDING AN ILLEGAL PROTEST AND REFUSING TO DISPERSE DESPITE THE POLICE ANNOUNCEMENT" AND REQUESTED 6 MONTHS TO 3 YEARS OF PRISON TIME FOR 70 OF THESE STUDENTS.

THE RIGHT TO ATTEND PROTESTS IS KEPT IN THE 34TH ARTICLE OF THE CONSTITUTION. "EVERYONE HAS THE RIGHT TO MAKE A PEACEFUL PROTEST WALK AND PRESS ANNOUNCEMENT WITHOUT PRIOR PERMISSION."

THE STUDENTS ARE BEING ARRESTED AT MASSES IN TWILIGHT OPERATIONS AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS ARE BEING DISABLED AT PROTEST ZONES.

ELON MUSK CONTINUES TO TERMINATE AND RESTRICT ACCOUNTS INFORMING THE PUBLIC ABOUT THESE PROTESTS IN LEGAL DEMANDS MADE BY THE MINISTRY OF INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL AFFAIRS OF TURKEY.

AMERICAN GOVERNMENT IS SUPPORTIVE OF THE CIVIL COUP DONE BY ERDOGAN.

A PARLIMENTARIAN OF THE TURKISH PARLEMENT HAS OPENED THE FLAG OF KURDISTAN, A NONEXISTENT COUNTRY AND THE MAIN GOAL OF THE OUTLAWED TERRORIST ORGANIZATION PKK (KURDISTANT WORKERS PARTY) WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DEATHS OF THOUSANDS OF CIVILLIANS, SOLDIERS, EVEN BABIES, AND HEAVY TERRORIST ATTACKS ALL OVER THE COUNTRY.
