Yet another fun find from @longbeachantiquemarket. This set of six frosted souvenir glasses are from the 1964-1965 New York World’s Fair. These showcase the Port Authority Building. There were eight different pavilions at the Fair, the World’s Fair Circus, the Unisphere, Pool of Industry, Hall of Science, the Federal Pavillon, New York State Exhibit, Port Authority Building and Shea Stadium. The World’s Fair of 1965-65 was the third major international exhibition to be held in New York City. The Fair was held in Queen’s Flushing Meadow Corona Park, the same site as the 1939-40 World’s Fair. The theme of the Fair was “Peace Through Understanding”, and it was dedicated to “Man’s Achievement on a Shrinking Globe in an Expanding Universe”. These glasses are in perfect condition and quite the score!!! #1964worldsfair #1964worldsfairpavilion #longbeachantiquemarket #vintageglassware #vintagebarware #gifts #unusualgifts #wehoshopping https://www.instagram.com/p/B7r3TcPn3gW/?igshid=6g6zzl05umnq
