#Repost @nrdc_org ・・・ Today in Paris, civil society groups and activists held what was one of the largest actions during #COP21. They called on world leaders to support a temperature rise target of 1.5ºC as opposed to the previous goal of 2ºC. Jake Schmidt, Director of NRDC's International Program, weighed in: "We need a strong agreement in Paris to put countries around the world on the road to dramatically reduce their heat-trapping emissions driving #climatechange. A 1.5 degree goal would better protect the most vulnerable communities from climate devastation, and we need to come together again in five years and get on that path. Paris is where we start to fulfill our obligation to protect the most vulnerable from climate impacts they cannot avoid.” #1o5C #DemandClimateAction #ActOnClimate ・・・ #Repost @thecvf with @repostapp.
