"Listen to my voice, okay? I need you to stay with me. I'm bringing you to the hospital."
Remiel tried to smile, something genuine, but he was sure the look was plastered falsely all over his face. As a healer, he knew, he could feel it, his life force slowly slipping away.
It had been his own stupid fault, too busy paying attention to his allies and not on the rogue who decided a poisoned shiv in his side was going to be the thing that claimed him.
His veins burned, mouth running dry and he reached up, hand searching for Shanarra's cheek and he found it, fingers gently trailing her cheekbone, smearing what blood there was on her face.
His brows furrowed when he realized his touch was wet and he tried to wipe it with his sleeve, the effort alone caused his limbs to feel like lead, his hand thudded to the floor.
"Shanarra... Dalah'surfal....Forgive me... I do not think... I can.. hold out.."
