1 WEEK CLEANSE CHALLENGE - DAY 7
The end has come. Time for the final verdict. This has been an... enlightening week. Today, being the last day I treated myself to some cheese, but stayed sugar and bread free. This week showed me that dling just that isn't hard at all. Whenthere are no temptations nearby (i.e. there were no bread or interesting sugary treats at home) it is incredibly easy to stay off it. At some point during the week I was close to something sugary and wasn't tempted by it (I can't even remember what it was). Right now I was actually really qorried about having to eat sugar again. I mean having because it is almost unavoidable, what with everythung processed coming with it. If it were just being tempted by cake or something it'd be fine, but it's the thought of having to ingest this (pretty much) drug, without even knowing. I'm going to de-stress now, eat as usual this week, leaving at least a sugar-free day somewhere, and then I'll make sure to eliminate anything that contains sugar feom my home, starting by cereal bars, peanut butter, processed/canned meals, chocolates, manjar and marmalades/preserves. It'll be long, but I'll get to it. I'm most worried about those sneaky foods that contain sugar when they shouldn't. I'll specially keep those out. See you on the next challenge!
1 WEEK CLEANSE CHALLENGE - DAY 6
Just one day left! It's really late and I'm going to bed after a lengthy workout, but today was uneventful and healthy, sugar, bread and cheese free. I couldn't hold off somw processed ingredients but oh well. Come back tomorrow to see what's my verdict on this cleanse!
1 WEEK CLEANSE - DAY 5
The week is over yay! I was sooo tored yesterday that I fell asleep right away at 10pm and didn't get to post. I was sleepy and hungry the whole day, it was aweful. It really isn't good to go to bed late. Anyhow, I did my workout, lifted some, swam 400m+ and went to bed early. I didn't eat much salad but had a basil garlic tortilla for lunch (~140kcal) with half a tomato and half an avocado. I also had a glass of kefir. For dinner I had quinoa with chilli pepper paste and russian salad without the mayo (so potatoes, carrots, corn and peas) which was about 280kcal of goodness. Breakfast was 1/3 grapefruit, a tiny apple, half a peach, soy milk and some cooked turkey beeast ham. I snaked during the day on some various nuts, dried jerusalem artichoke and a peach of a different kind. Obviously, I kept sugar, bread and cheese free. I'll update again today.
1 WEEK CLEANSE - DAY 4
I'm officially halfway done! Today was sugar-free, bread-free, cheese-free AND oil-free! I worked out and swam 400m but didn't get to cycle. I wasn't actually tempted by the popcorn at the movie theatre though, so that's great. Tomorrow shall be the same.
1 WEEK CLEANSE CHALLENGE - DAY 2
Guess who just completed a new day of sugar-free, breadfree and cheese free eating! Also no processed foods or weird unnatural and/or unpronounceable ingredients entered my system. I also managed to hit the gym and do some lifting (at last, I was getting weak lol) but I couldn't swim cause the pool was closing early :( I accidentally dropped the seat at one of the machines in the gym while adjusting it on my hand so it hurts (not that much now), I went to the abant premiere for deadpool (don't worry, no spoilers) and we had a tremor/mini earthquake while I was at the cinema, otherwise today was unneventful. Tomorrow I'll be halfway done and so far I haven't gotten any bad cravings so cheers to self-control.
1 WEEK CLEANSE CHALLENGE - DAY 1
Finally! Today went just as planned. I had a banana, blueberry, chia, pollen and cinnamon smoothie for breakfast, lentils and salad for lunch, milk, almonds and mint infusion for tea and salad with tuna for dinner. Sugar-free, bread-free, oil-free and cheese-free as promised as well as totally whole, real foods. I'm gonna work out now, then get some quality sleep. Let's see how tomorrow goes!
