since the long-standing accessibility in the rpc conversation is resurfacing in the tags and there are many people who seem unaware of their browser’s accessibility features, here’s a quick guide for fellow roleplayers with visual impairments. if you have more extensions to recommend, please reply or reblog with additions.
chrome fonts: click on the vertical ellipsis in the right corner, then settings, scroll down to the appearance section and select customize fonts, and finally raise the minimum font size until it’s readable to you. for mobile users select accessibility instead of customize in the settings tab.
firefox: click on the three lines in the right corner, options, scroll down to fonts & colors, then select advanced... and set the minimum font size.
internet explorer: click on the cog in the right corner, internet options, then accessibility, and ignore font sizes. this might not work, explorer isn’t known for being complex.
other browsers: it’s the same instructions as far as i checked, just find your settings then either accessibility or fonts.
chrome extensions: below you will find great options for visually impaired roleplayers.
text to speech: a solution to small text, hard to read emphasis, or a tool for the legally blind.
copy as plain text: remove emphasis by copying the text and pasting it as plain.
color enhancer: for color blind folks.
night mode: for everyone, it helps reduce general eye strain.
screen dimmer: a reading aid to help eye strain, comprehension, and concentration.
image hide: right click and hide unwanted images.
pictoom: easily enlarge small static images.
