JASON: Cooking opens other doors, too. Benedict Cumberbatch and his wife, Sophie [Hunter], have become mates, and he invited my daughter Keziah to see him play Hamlet at the Barbican in the summer. She wants to be an actress, too, so he gave her a backstage tour. She was thrilled.
But you know what gets me excited? Benedict sent me a text the other week saying he and Sophie had just had dinner at my place, and she reckoned it was the best food she ever tasted. This job isn't about famous mates or TV shows. I don't care about any of that... I just want people to enjoy my food.
