Favorite cosplay I worked on and wore this year was definitely Lana from Hyrule Warriors! I love her outfit, but it was a challenge :D

Favorite cosplay I worked on and wore this year was definitely Lana from Hyrule Warriors! I love her outfit, but it was a challenge :D
My favorite Cosplay this year was my son’s America costume. I loved how it came out anf it was lots of fun cosplaying England and America at cons.
I am a just getting back into cosplay after over a decade off not doing it, and my son’s costume is the first thing I have ever put together entirely from scratch, so I was extremely proud of it (usually my cosplays are a mix of found items and things I altered, like my Engand costume there)
Oh chibimerica >3< Your son is so cute and you two look adorable together! I’m glad to hear that you’re getting back into cosplay after so long! I love hearing that there are cosplayers out there who have been around since the community was young. :) That was such a different scene and a lot of today’s cosplayers should consider how much cosplay has changed and evolved because of long term/older fans! Thank you so much for submitting and sharing your cute baby with us!!! <3
My most ambitious cosplay ever and favorite this year was Ellen in her Cloak of the Deep from Folklore! She gave me a lot of challenges, but also taught me a lot about patience (so. many. sequins.) but! Anyways, I hope it’s just as fun to look at as it was for me to make her c: (and p.s. thanks for running such an awesome, supportive blog!)
This is SO pretty! The sequins were the first thing I noticed because they look SO lovely as seams! And your wig lights up!!! >3< I love this cosplay so much - I can’t wait to see what you do this year! Hopefully what you learned on this makes your next cosplay that much better! Thank you so much for submitting! (and thank you for supporting us! <3)
I already submitted something to you guys but I realized I forgot to mention my cosplay blog @kookeecosplay This is a new cosplay I just finished last night! It’s Audrey Ramirez from Atlantis: The Lost Empire. I made those overalls and it was my first time doing that! I’m excited to wear it at Katsucon 2017!
Fantastic job on the overalls! They turned out really well :) I love that you have the hat and gloves to finish off such a cute cosplay. I hope you have a lot of fun cosplaying Audrey at Katsucon! Thank you so much for submitting again!
(I tried submitting this before but my browser crashed so if you’re getting this twice - that’s why) Hey I hope it’s not too late to submit this (if it is just ignore it) but my favourite cosplay this year was Daisy Johnson/Quake from Agent’s of SHIELD! It was one of the most complicated costumes I ever made, completely from scratch and I’m really proud of it (also Daisy means a lot to me as a character so that made it extra special) ♥
Thank you for the submission!! This turned out REALLY cool! The armor and bodysuit all look really professional! And this photoshoot is awesome. :) I can tell that you’re really getting into character which just makes them better. <3 Hope your 2017 gets even better! :D
My favorite cosplay of 2016 is hands down my Sith Pureblood from the SWTOR game. It meant a lot of firsts, like first time using a sewing machine, making molds and working with latex (The “just apply to face in Random patterns, oh look, a Zombie” method from before doesn’t count lol). The make up is what I’m proud of, just because it worked.
The makeup looks AWESOME. I’ve wanted to try more intense makeup like this, but it’s pretty intimidating with all the different materials. :) It turned out so good and I can’t wait to see what you’re going to do this year! Thank you for submitting. :)
I have two favorites for opposite reasons! Pidge is so comfy and quick to put together - it only took one weekend! But I spent months on Scarlet Witch and it’s the most complicated cosplay I’ve ever made!
It’s always good to have comfy cosplay to wear at cons! We try to bring at least one easy to wear cosplay when packing. You look super cute as Pidge! I love your fabric choices for Scarlet Witch and the fit is on point! I can tell you put a lot of time and effort into this outfit :) You look fantastic! Thank you so much for submitting!
I wore Camilla to Otakuthon this year!! It was my first time making armor and a larger weapon, and I’m really proud of them. Even though there are a lot of mistakes, I think it really was a learning experience and I’m glad I did it! ^0^
THIS WAS YOUR FIRST TIME DOING ARMOR?!?! It all looks AWESOME! Even if there were some mistakes, it definitely passes the “few feet away test.” :) I love the axe too! There are a ton of details and I can tell you spent time on the painting. :) Thank you so much for submitting! I can’t wait to see what comes next for you!
