Trip up the Palm Springs Tramway yesterday afternoon. As you can see by the one photo,I kept my head down most of the trip up the mountain because in recent years I've developed an extreme aversion to heights. The tram cars are absolutely amazing, holding up to 80 people and rotating to give 360° views to the suckers by the windows. And with the exception of a couple of the tower crossings, the ride was very smooth going up. The good thing is I made it up alive, and then the views were spectacular. Also, I really enjoyed the 40° difference between the city and mountain. I wish I had some more climbing and exploring, but just makes me want to come back sometime. Then on the trip down, it was like a switch had flipped and I was able to walk over to the windows, which is something I haven't done in at least 10 years.
